Bauer 8E Makro

I have a Bauer 8e super 8mm Camera and on the side of the Camera that has the footage counter there are two sockets with a white dot and a red dot next to them. They are not mentioned in the manual and any pic that i have seen it is not on the camera. I am hoping that somebody could tell me what there function is. Thankyou

It could be a syncro-socket.
